SharePoint Saturday Atlanta

I’ll be presenting at SharePoint Saturday Atlanta on Saturday May 7th.  The lineup is impressive and this is sure to be one of the bigger SharePoint Saturday events in the region this year.

Session details:

Getting the Most from the User Profiles
This session will help you maximize the power and value of the SharePoint User Profiles available in SharePoint Server. We will cover strategies on how to approach defining and maintaining custom attributes, how to approach synchronizing content with other business systems, and how to leverage the information to drive business processes both inside of and outside of SharePoint.

Hope to see a full house, if you are in the Atlanta area be sure to stop by and say hello!

MSDN SharePoint MVP Chat–Wed April 20th

The SharePoint Chats are back and the April Chat is scheduled for April 20th at noon EST (9am PST).  I’ll be among the featured chatters helping to answer all of your SharePoint related questions.

Q&A with the SharePoint MVP Experts Live!

Do you have tough technical questions regarding SharePoint for which you’re seeking answers? Do you want to tap into the deep knowledge of the talented Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals? The SharePoint MVPs are the same people you see in the technical community as authors, speakers, user group leaders and answerers in the MSDN and TechNet forums. By popular demand, we have brought these experts together as a collective group to answer your questions live. So please join us and bring on the questions! This chat will cover WSS 3.0, MOSS, SharePoint Foundation 2010 and the SharePoint Server 2010. Topics include setup and administration, design, development and general question.

Please join us on Wednesday April 20th at 9am PDT or noon EST to chat with MVPs from around the world. Learn more and add these chats to your calendar by visiting the MSDN event page

You can also follow the stream on twitter by using the #spmvpchat hashtag or review the Facebook Event page.

New Blog Home

For some time now I’ve been wanting to redo my blog.  I really haven’t been happy with Blogger as a platform, and while I really wanted to do something hosted on SharePoint, WordPress at this time offers a better publishing platform for internet facing content.  Of course that may change when the updates to the CKS:EBE is completed.

I have spent some time going through links and have tried to update everything which turned out to be more trouble than I expected.  Things should be fairly clean now.

A big thank you to Arno Nel for the space at WizDim.  I would also like to thank Michael Greene for the logo.
